Rab is one of Ireland’s foremost fiddle makers and restorers and he will be in the Market house, Clonmany on Saturday 14th October.
If you have an old fiddle lying around your house you can bring it along and Rab will assess it for you. He will also be giving a talk about fiddles so don’t miss this great opportunity which is all free on the day.

We are delighted to announce that our guest musician for the 2017 Seamus Grant Weekend is renowned Glenfin fiddle player Paddy McMenamin.
The part-time farmer from the Glenfin Gaeltacht is a self taught fiddler who as a child picked up his tunes from musicians who called to his house and from his Father Paddy ‘Neil’ an accordion and fiddle player and his Mother Rose Anne, a singer who also played the Jew’s harp.

This is a live CD which showcases the unique style of Paddy’s musical talent.
For the second year we are delighted to be welcoming Brendan and Jonny to our upcoming Seamus Grant Weekend which will take place in October.
We had the great pleasure of having Brendan and Jonny as our special guests at the 2016 Friday night official opening session, they gave workshops on the Saturday and also joined us in the pub sessions over the weekend, such a wealth of talent was brought to our weekend by these two Gentlemen.
This year they will take to the stage on Saturday 14th October in the Ballyliffen hotel along with their bluegrass band ‘Northern Exposure’. A night not to be missed. More info to follow……
We are delighted to announce that fiddle player Brendan Hendry and 5 string banjo player Jonny Toman will be joining us at this years upcoming Seamus Grant Weekend.
Brendan Hendry is a highly regarded fiddle player hailing from Bellaghy in South Derry. In 2008 Brendan released the acclaimed album Tuned Up with flute player Brendan Mulholland and guitarist Paul McSherry.
More recently Brendan has joined forces with the talented 5 string banjo player Jonny Toman. Together they create a unique and powerful sound, effortlessly melding the best of Irish, bluegrass and americana music. Earlier this year they released their debut album Living Roots.
